I joined a health club called american health centers a while back ago and am absolutely loving it.. i started another blog about my weight loss journey… i have been kind of lazy to post on it. I would like to lose about 10 or 15 pounds before i’m satisfied with my weight. I got to about 205 pounds a few years ago and it has taken about 3 years to get to where i am today. I have weighed the same for nearly a year and am very dissatisfied with myself.. i plan on pushing myself very hard and losing 15 pounds before summer is over …i know i can do it

After about a 3 week hiatus from working out I’m finally getting back into the groove. I use a program called calorie king to count my calories. I estimated the i consumed approx 4000 calories yesterday… I should have no more than half of that amount. The sad thing is i worked out for 30 minutes and only burned 140 calories… i plan on changing my ways working out at least 3 to 5 hours a week… i really need to get this weight off of me. I have already lost about 30 pounds, it has taken me over 2 years to do it… i waited appoximately 205 pounds at that point..

I took my mother to the store this morning and was greeted by one of the rudest Kroger employees I have ever witnessed.  I decided to post my complaint letter that I am sending in the mail today…  Why waste my time you ask?  Because it only took me three minutes to write, two minutes to proof read… I will have 8 minutes invested in it… and it makes me feel worthwhile to call upon someone’s apathy towards their job.  So here it is…..

July 7, 2009

To Whom It May Concern;

I am writing to formally complain on an employee that was working the cash registers today (July 7th) at approximately 10am.  In today’s economy,  one would think that attentive and courteous cashiers and other employees would be a necessity. After going through the line to pay for our groceries,  we were not greeted and were treated as if we were disturbing this  particular person.   A friendly smile or gracious attitude would go a long way in getting customers to return to your store.

My mother was having a difficult time using the card reader to pay for her groceries. Instead of offering a pleasant helping hand,  she was simply “dealt with”.  Luckily I made note of your employee’s name tag and decided to let you know we did not appreciate her attitude during the entire transaction,  it was not a pleasant experience.  Rolling your eyes, a disgruntling sigh and other aggravating gestures are not appropriate, in my opinion, when dealing with the public.  Joyce would be served well by obtaining some training on how to properly deal with customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.

It is my hope that you will let Joyce know about our complaint,  after all she is representing your company. when customers leave with a bad taste in their mouths, it is very difficult to get them to return.  How much is loosing one of your customers worth due to a improperly trained employee?   I would think that it is much easier to keep a good customer than to obtain a new one,  much less expensive as well.

Thank you for your attention in this matter,  we wish the best for Joyce,  it is our hope that she gets the training she apparently needs to deal with the public appropriately.

Sincerely;

A Concerned and Annoyed Customer.

Something I struggle with on a daily basis is focus…  I have so much going on and so many projects to complete it is very difficult for me to focus.  I have had to force myself to realize that I can not possibly do everything myself…  Outsourcing what you can not do is very  important in business.  It will often cost you more money by not getting something done than if you had outsourced the project or task to someone else and paid them.  This is difficult for many people.  For example,  I have an apartment that needs cleaned:  Do i clean it myself or pay someone decent money to clean it for me?  Of course I do  not clean it myself,  I have too much going on,  but I will pay someone $250 to get it cleaned and rentable in 2 days.   I could pay someone by the hour to clean it, or possibly get it done cheaper… but would they take thier time?  Would they get it done when i need it done?  Probably not…   I am willing to pay money for speedy results.  Every day that the apartment is not rented is costing me money.   We have these numbers built into our investment plan.  Bottom line,  do not be afraid to have someone else do what you may procrastinate on doing….   Focus on the project and get someone to do the things you may not have time for…  If you believe the project will make you money,  build outsourcing some of the work into the equation.  Many times people purchase investment property without calculating management fees… I do not know about everyone else,  but I don’t plan on managing our properties myself indefinitely… my nerves could not take it.. We have the management fee built in… so when I decide to call it quits,  we turn it over.. and we are still ahead, because it is built into our numbers.

We’ve been dealing with our apartment building all week….. We thought we were rid of the trouble makers up until a couple weeks ago.   We have a guy that is a roommate of one of our Section 8 tenants…. From my understanding this guy is not even supposed to have anyone living with him… which I only think is fair since the government is paying his way and the 22 year old “roommate” is basically using him for free housing.  I would not have a problem with this as much but the guy has caused us a lot of trouble.   He was a former tenant of ours before he moved into our Section 8 apartment and abandoned his apartment.     He has been gone from his apt for months and had the nerve to ask me a couple weeks ago if he could have his deposit back,  of course the answer was no!  Especially since he had left the place a crap hole and has been partying up there ever since.  It is my fault for letting the place go and not locking it up, etc once he moved out….   When I finnally did lock up the place,  they guy went nuts on me…  He was upset because (even though the place had no electricity) he was using it as a party station for him and his friends.   I wasn’t going to argue with the guy so I called the police,   his smart mouth got him arrested and taken to the station where I had to fill out a police report.  They basically told me I should have him formally evicted even though it has been months since he was in the apartment.    You would think after all of this,  the dumb *^!@( would stay on the down low….. NO!!!   he busted down an entrance door that all tenants have a key for….  apparently in broad daylight.   I want this guy gone!   I am at odds with myself because our Section 8 tenant is still under lease until late this year….   I have already decided he is not an asset to our building and have decided not to renew his lease….  that is where the problem lies,  I can’t tolerate this for that long…. I am seriously considering complaining to his case worker and getting an emergency eviction..  This may result in him loosing his housing voucher… but I have warned him repeatedly about the company he is keeping and the trouble his so called roommate is causing.  I have posted my dilemma in some forums,  should be getting some interesting responses.

So you are wondering how all this stuff about positive thinking has anything to do with making money.  Well… you really need to have a good attitude when you are working for yourself. Working for yourself almost demands a positive attitude.  Couple that with perseverance and persistence and you have a winning combination.  The problem lies in the fact people get so overwhelmed in life and just keeping up that they have no idea of where to begin.  Everyone has to start somewhere.   There are a million and one ways to make money,  without having to “work for someone”.  Some are online, some offline, some work better than others.. You need to decide for yourself.   I have had everything from a cleaning business to participating in MLM.  Each have their advantages.   I invest in real estate for long term gain,  I could not pay my bills off of my real estate holdings.  Many people today are struggling just to stay alive (or quit their 9 to 5 job) let alone invest in something long term.

I would never recommend investing in real estate until you have your financial house in order.  Real estate can literally ruin you… It can also make you very wealthy given enough time.   To get your financial house in order,  I would highly recommend Suze Ormann,  she really can say what you need to know much better than I can…   I do not agree with 100% of what she says,  she gives kind of an “advice for the masses”  she fails to mention that one piece of advice does not necessarily work the same for thousands of people who may have the same problem.

I am going to do something fun,  because I always enjoy looking at other people’s numbers, for the simple fact that it motivates me and gives me hope.  I have several EBay sellers that I have tracked since 2000…. I loved looking at all the money they brought in and sales they made.. it motivated me to find out how they do it.  As previously mentioned,  I have hundreds of websites….  I am going to give you a sneak peak at some of the traffic these sites see in any given day… I just saved this screen shot at about 715pm so the day is not complete yet.. My stats server is on Pacific time so we still have a few hours until the day is over…. Anyway, here it goes,  enjoy.

If you think I have put the best performing sites on the list you would be highly mistaking….  I am not foolish enough to expose everything.  With a little research and knowledge of the internet and google,  you could discover entirely too much information.  Some of you have different skill sets so I need to protect my interests and the integrity of my “system”.

So did you watch “The Secret”?   I know some of you have,  I have recieved several emails.. although the video has been out for awhile,  it is still quite powerful and not everyone has seen it..  It is very true,  the secret basically is positive thinking.  I enjoy watching the video every so often when I feel defeated or the problems of life seem overwhelming.   As you know,  life can really throw you some punches.   This is why it is so important to surround yourself with positive people and “can doers” as it is sometimes called in WV.   It seems like nonsense to a lot of people, but it is how I run my own life.  Yes, bad things happen,  life happens.  But you really can do what you set out to do.  What are your dreams?  What do you want to do with your life?   Make a plan and Do it.  It really is that simple.  We make life difficult sometimes and it does not have to be.  In the modern world,  there is no reason for you not to be the person you want to be.  Find the people who will make that happen and cling to them.  I do just that.   I have surrounded myself with positive people,  do yourself a favor and do the same thing.

Positive thinking is quite simple actually.    It’s an attitude that demands favorable and positive outcomes of every situation.  Whatever you (your mind) expects,  it will deliver.   Of course,  many people scoff at such a simple idea.   Those that do, do not know how to use it to their advantage.

All of us affect, in one way or another, the people we meet. This happens instinctively and on a subconscious level, through thoughts and feelings transference, and through body language. People sense our aura and are affected by our thoughts, and vice versa. It is no wonder  we want to be around positive people and avoid negative ones? People are more disposed to help us if we are positive, and they dislike and avoid anyone broadcasting negativity or bad energy.

It does not matter what your situation is….  think positively and demand favorable results in any circumstance.   The circumstances will change according to what you have anticipated.   It may take time for change to occur,  but it will, without fail.

Don’t hope for change, DEMAND it.  Do something about it.

I absolutely love this video… I encourage you to watch “The Secret”  and what Bob Proctor has to say… it is quite inspirational!

After you listen to Bob Proctor,  I encourage you (No,  I REALLY do) to take about 25 minutes and view the video below….  it has quite a powerful message.   I am reading the book “Why Positive Thinkers Have the Power” by Ken Bossone.   It is a nice companion to “The Secret” series….   Take a peek,  I think you will enjoy it.

I am not going to bore you with the details of my existence,  most of you are here for one reason and that is how to make money..   If you want to learn a little more about my personal life,  visit my Myspace Page.

I think you agree that knowledge is power,  I have been accumulating the “knowledge to be independent” for over 15 years.  I have not worked for someone in almost 10 years….  My quest for independence actually started before that.  I worked for a large company after college that will remain nameless for obvious reasons,  mainly I do not want to give them any free advertising…   during my tenure at this faceless company I constantly was  looking for something to free myself from the proverbial  grind..  I was reading a few interesting books during the time,  namely “The Millionaire Mind” and “Multiple Streams of  Internet Income”.  Both inspired me…   my dream was not to live a life full of riches, fancy cars and everything that goes along with that lifestyle.. This would be fine of course if it happened, but it was not my primary goal or concern.  My primary goal was to “be my own boss”.  It almost sounds cliche,  everyone wants to be their own boss… However,   I wanted to be the 5% of the people that actually did something about it (being their own boss).   Sadly,  I can tell 100 people exactly what to do and the steps to take to actually make their dream happen and work from home, never having to step foot in the office again.. but only a handful of people (if that many) will actually do anything about it and make it a reality.  That is why the people ‘selling the shovel’ get rich,  they are not concerned about telling their secrets (although you never get all of them)  they know that statistically only a handful of people will do anything with the information.

So,  there you have it….  my website will focus on teaching anyone that stumbles upon my little place on the web on how they can make it on their own…  I will be honest with you,  I am not going to share everything I know with you,  everyone needs to figure things out for themselves.. I will show you some of what I know,  you can add and subtract what you need to fulfil your goals.  I will show you some money I have received and checks that I get… this is not to brag (I am a very modest person)  but it is  the “proof” that many people require to free their minds and let them know I am serious and actually practice what I preach.

I can sit here and say that I make 5K a day,  but would you really believe me?   So just remember,  I am a modest person that does not brag,  but I do want to show people that virtually anything is possible when it comes to wanting to work for yourself… I have for almost 10 years.   I have a lot to say.. and it can not all be said in this brief introduction.   I have hundreds of websites,  some make money, some do not….  Some of them I personally own,  some of them companies that I control and operate own… but that is a lesson for later, isn’t it?  You need to protect yourself…. think making money is fun?  Think is it is difficult?  Well KEEPING it is just as difficult…. I can teach you how to do that as well… just some tricks I have learned over the years.. Sometimes it pays to be inquisitive,  sometimes it does not.  I do not waste my time with bullshitters and tire kickers… When I decide to do something I do it.. The same goes for me personally.. if someone does not like me for some reason,  it is their loss..  Cliche I know,  but very true.  I have a lot to offer and try to learn from everyone as well.    But contrary to the 90′s song “I ain’t too Proud to Beg”,  I do not beg anyone to like me nor do I beg for anything for that matter…..  I can be very out spoken when the mood hits (and yes I am moody) so if you do not like it,  then all I can say is c’est la vie….   It really does not matter to me… I am far from arrogant or cocky,  but I really am a busy person and have no time for drama or bullshit.  If you want to bullshit me,  have something to back it up, ok?   If you want to make some money and have an open mind, then let’s talk.  I am still learning and everyone has something to offer.

I do not let one passion or person run my life… I have multiple things going on and I suggest everyone do the same.   I have more than one friend, more than one idea, more than one business… I only have one ME and one significant other…   I honestly believe you can not have enough friends… some are close of course (few) but most are acquaintances that never really get to know the real you..    Everyone has a mentor,  I have mine,  one that I have learned a great deal  is Russell Brunson.  Google his name,  you may just like what you see.

Just remember,  being independent is  a learning process…  you need to study,  read and make mistakes.  I have made many mistakes, lost quite a bit of money and continue to do so…  But I NEVER give up….  that is what is about itsn’t it?  When you were learning to ride a bicycle,  you didn’t stop because you didn’t immediately get on it and started riding?  You fell,  got back up on it and tried again.. until eventually you knew what you were doing.  That is what I did… but in my case (and possibly yours) it is a life long process… I do know though,  I will never work for someone again…  I can loose everything but I will pick what pieces remain and start again.. only learning from my mistakes… You can not be robbed of your life experiences or education… There are just too many opportunities out there to waste my time in the unemployment line.

If I was forced to give one piece of advice,  it would be to pay attention to your surroundings..  Listen to what people are saying and doing.  You can really zero in on what someone is about after just a few interactions.   Pay attention to them,  do you have anything to learn?  Are they willing to teach?   I have learned from many people..  I would like one day to name each one and how they have impacted my life.  But that is for the day I am a Zillionaire philanthropist  and need to write my autobiography!  There are several people that have really impacted my views on life and business… I am not going to pretend and make you believe that I am the most admired person on earth.. because I certainly am not.  I have pissed  people off I am sure..  but as noted earlier,  I have no time for bullshit, drama or narrow mindedness.   I also have zero patience for those who jump to conclusions …racists, liars, cheats, conformist and religious zealots.. Now I, of course am a God fearing person, but religion has it’s place.. I am aware that we are in the United States and not everyone shares my views on religion and the like…. so I keep it out out my business life and avoid the subject… enough said.

Anyway stay tuned,  I plan on discussing everything money.. because I love money and I love freedom… so if you enjoy talking about these subjects then join me…  Like I said,  I am into about everything… from internet marketing to real estate.. and everything in between.  So there is a lot of ground to cover.  I am going to start with the basics of internet marketing in the next few days..   Good Luck out there.  Stay tuned for much more.
